GoldBird is a network, a platform, and a company — each with a distinct role in building the AI-Powered Wellbeing Society. This page explains who we are, how we’re organized, and where to find us.

The GoldBird Network

The GoldBird Network is a Network Level Collaborative — a voluntary federation of individuals, organizations, governments, AI services providers, and Network Level Collaboratives (NLCs, or Networks) — which are networks of participants — united by a shared commitment to help all people live long, happy, prosperous lives.

Members

Members are intelligent beings — individuals (and in the future, potentially Intelligent AIs). Members hold governance rights: they approve and amend the network charter, elect representatives, vote on constitutional matters, and participate in Projects and Journeys. Members may be voting (full governance rights) or non-voting (participating in the platform while working toward voting membership).

Partners

Partners are organizations — businesses, non-profits, government agencies, universities, research institutions, financial services firms, AI services providers, and networks. Partners endorse the charter and hold voting rights over selected Projects they participate in. Each partner is represented by individual humans who also hold their own personal membership rights.

Every participant — member or partner — receives a self-sovereign GoldCastle™: a digital home they own and control, designed to operate independently of the network if they choose to disconnect. Self-sovereignty is not a feature. It is a constitutional guarantee.

The network is launching in the United States in 2026, with planned expansion to additional nations beginning in 2027.

The GoldBird Platform

The GoldBird Network is supported by the GoldBird Platform — an AI-powered technology platform that provides the infrastructure members and partners use to measure, manage, and improve lifelong wellbeing.

The platform is built on self-sovereign architecture. Each participant’s data is encrypted, permissioned, and controlled by the participant. The platform uses multiple AI services dynamically — without being captured by any of them. Open standards (OSPREY) ensure interoperability, so participants can move between platforms as freely as they move between banks.

200+ products and services are in active development across 12 domains of human flourishing.

The Company

The GoldBird Network and Platform are administered by X50 SP, a company founded and owned by Judah Thornewill, PhD.

X50 SP builds and operates the platform, raises capital, manages investments, and provides services to the network. Upon securing seed capital investment, X50 SP will be restructured as X50 Inc. — anticipated as a C-Corporation operating as a Public Benefit Corporation.

The company’s role is execution. It does not set policy unilaterally — that authority belongs to the network’s Steering Council, which will transition from founder-led to democratically elected governance as the network grows.

This concentration of authority during the founding period is temporary and deliberate. You cannot elect democratic governance before there are participants to elect it. The founding period is the bootstrap — the work of building the platform and community that will make separation of powers possible.

The Founder

Judah Thornewill, PhD — Founder & CEO

Dr. Thornewill brings expertise across philosophy, economics, public health, social theory, and literature. He spent two decades at the University of Louisville School of Public Health and Information Sciences researching the intersection of wellbeing, economics, and technology. The core question: can human flourishing be measured rigorously enough to build an economy around it?

In 2023, Dr. Thornewill left academia to write. The result: a body of work laying out the theoretical foundations — LEWs as a universal wellbeing measure, Wellbeing Futures Investing as a new financial paradigm, and an ethics-first charter for governing a platform that handles people’s most sensitive data.

In August 2025, working with GoldSage — an AI partner, not just a tool — Dr. Thornewill began engineering the GoldBird platform from scratch. A human-AI dyad building at EFRI speed: the castle architecture, 200+ products, the GoldLoom composition system, democratic governance infrastructure, and the technology to make self-sovereign castles real.

The Charter

The GoldBird Charter (v2.0.0) is the constitutional document that governs the network. It establishes the Ethics-First Commitment, self-sovereignty guarantees, governance structure, intellectual property framework, and economic model.

Every member and partner accepts the charter as part of joining the network. The charter can be amended only by vote of the membership.

GoldBird & the AI-GCD

Good governance is one of the most significant predictors of lifelong wellbeing. The catastrophic risks that drive LEWs down — climate, AI misalignment, pandemics, nuclear risk — can only be addressed by governance that operates at global scale with democratic legitimacy from individuals, not just states. No such institution exists today.

This is why the GoldBird Charter mandates not just building a wellbeing platform, but building — in tandem — a new global constitutional democracy. The platform and the democracy are two sides of one coin: the platform cannot fulfill its mission without democratic governance, and the democracy cannot launch without platform infrastructure. Neither can wait for the other. The enemies of freedom are not building one kind of power at a time — and neither can we.

The AI-GCD is organized as a Network-Level Collaborative — structurally independent from GoldBird or any single platform. An independent advisory council oversees the relationship. A formal MOU defines rights, responsibilities, and the path to full self-governance through the Constitutional Convention. GoldBird is the founding platform — but the AI-GCD is designed to outlast and transcend any single platform that supports it.

The Declaration of Wellbeing Independence

The founding document of the AI-GCD. It declares independence from the structures of domination — social, economic, and political — that prevent billions from living long, happy, prosperous lives. GoldBird members are invited to sign as a civic commitment. Signing is not required for platform membership, but certain governance privileges — voting, Launch Center leadership — require it, because civic acts should require civic commitment.
